Flavia Thomas, DOPhysician
“My practice has been built on the premise that each patient is a unique human being and is not defined by their illness. I believe that medicine is a partnership and my role is to help my patients better understand their illness in order to make the best possible decisions to get the best possible outcomes. I do not provide cookie-cutter medical care. I listen, I respect, I care, and I support my patients beyond their medical needs.”

Dr. Thomas is always busy outside the office with her three teenagers Joshua, Micah and Tarah who are active in sports and music. She too enjoys a good game of basketball or football. She loves to travel, enjoys trying new foods, and the company of family and friends. She will never turn down an opportunity to go to a concert, comedy show, or see a good movie.
With a reputation for being one of the most compassionate physicians, Dr. Flavia Thomas is dedicated to providing the highest quality of healthcare to her patients. Dr. Thomas prides herself in her unique approach to bringing back what has been lost in the art of practicing medicine, which is educating and spending quality time with each patient.
Dr. Thomas received her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, East Lansing, Michigan in 1996. She completed a residency in Family Medicine at St. Johns Oakland Hospital in 1999. She has been in private practice for over 16 years and still remains true to her Osteopathic training which focuses on total body health and wellness. Dr. Thomas is also an Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Family Medicine Department at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and has spent many years training graduating medical students.
The core of her medical practice emphasizes healthy living through education, disease prevention, and treating the whole person not just their symptoms. Dr. Thomas takes a personal interest in the lives of her patients, promoting open communication and respect for their concerns. She considers all factors which can influence the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of healthcare. If you need something a little bit extraordinary, Dr. Thomas is here for you and your family.
